With this tomato tart made from puff pastry, you can bring the holiday right onto your plate at home. With fresh herbs, garlic and fresh tomatoes, a great and very easy appetizer is created. The olive oil and onions give the tart a Mediterranean flavor. This is simply delicious!

A crispy tomato tart made from puff pastry with onions, garlic and olive oil
Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry, from the fridge
- 2 - 3 tbsp dijon mustard
- 2 clove garlic
- 2 branches rosemary
- some leaves basil
- 2 middle sized onions
- 4 - 5 middle sized tomatoes, or vine tomatoes
- 2 - 3 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper, for seasoning
Instructions
Heat the oven to 190 °C top/bottom heat.
Peel onions and garlic. Halve the onions and then cut them into thin slices. Cut the garlic into fine slices.
Wash and slice tomatoes.
Remove the rosemary from the stalk. Pluck the basil leaves.
Roll up the puff pastry and place it on a baking tray with baking paper. Fold over the edges of the puff pastry slightly on all sides. Apply the mustard on the puff pastry. Spread the garlic slices and onion rings evenly over the puff pastry. Scatter the tomatoes on top as well. Season with salt and pepper. Then drizzle the olive oil over the ingredients. Finally, spread the herbs evenly over the tart.
Bake the tart in the oven for about 30 minutes until it is browned as desired. Enjoy the tart while it is still warm.
